Betamax is a consumer-grade videotape format that was prominent during the 1970's and 1980's before being overtaken by the popular VHS format. Betamax was primarily used for home video recording. Betamax is NOT BetaCAM which is an entirely different, professional format. Beta-max is also different from Digital Betacam (digibeta).

 Because these tapes are ancient and degrading, please note a $15 charge per tape for special handling. Also, it is possible that the video information on your tape is already lost and irrecoverable.
